Oh my dear, sweet, little boy, will you please just go to sleep! You are wearing me out! Putting him back in bed about 50 times is our new night time routine. I'm tired and ready to relax, is that happening in my near future?
With Brinlee, we have child proofed the door knob from inside her room. She can not open the door. SHe still stays up and plays but goes to her bed when she is tired. She knows that bed time means she needs to be in her room. You might want to check into the door knob child proof thingys. I dont know if Kash can open a door with them, but its helped us.
Good idea from Ash. You can try incentives, he gets something fun (sticker or something if he stays in bed and after X number of stickers he get a trip to the $$ store?
Or consequences, if he gets out he looses a toy or a stuffed animal or something.
It's rough getting them to understand for sure, keep at it, he'll come around!
We do have his door knob locked but when we shut his door he just freaks out and kicks the door, also if I just let him play he wouldnt fall asleep til midnight. Hes kind of doing better, but it just depends on the day. Thanks!
